![]() ![]() ![]() If the moderator or anyone in this community has a known and proven solution I would appreciate hearing about it. Being in the cybersecurity field myself I have to agree with JWalker2 that this is a single point of failure with the free version of LastPass. When a LastPass user creates a master password, it is used to generate a unique encryption key that is local to the user’s device. Locally stored passwords are better because you would have to have access to the device they are stored on and be able to login to the machine and you would need to know the master password. LastPass protects our customers through many layers of encryption and security we put in place to keep your data safe, but using a strong, unique master password will help to protect your LastPass account. I'm stuck and with limited support from LastPass it appears my only option is to reset and lose everything. If lastpass is hacked it’s bad, if your credentials are found on a leak list and someone can access your account, that’s bad. Still, it doesn't help because since I have not used Kiwi to logon to LastPass it does not recognize it. So I did more research and the Chrome mobile browser doesn't support extensions, but there was a workaround, I installed the Kiwi browser which supports extensions and added the LastPass extension. The other is because it doesn't recognize me or my mobile browser. Password managers store login information and automatically enter them to. I have tried recover and revert, but both fail, one due to the LastPass requiring a browser extension which is odd because I have been using the app on my phone for years without issue. LastPass makes it easy to have unique passwords for every single account you. I remember one but I'm not sure it was the last one. Yesterday when I opened LastPass the biometrics prompt wasn't working and instead I am prompted for my master password which I do not remember. ![]() I have only used LastPass on my Samsung phone with access via biometrics. ![]()
